Job Offer Negotiation
Buy this package as soon as you're told you're expecting a job offer. I'll help you prepare for the call where you'll be asked for your "salary expectations" (do NOT answer this question without talking to me first!) This one-time fee covers a single one-hour call and as much followup consultation by email/slack/text as necessary to help you negotiate a single offer with confidence.
There is a right way and a wrong way to handle a salary negotiation. Many people are exhausted after months of being ghosted and feel disempowered to ask for anything more than they're offered. I cannot blame anyone who feels that way, but I also know from experience that if you fail to negotiate, you are leaving money on the table.
Whether or not you choose to accept the first offer, do not pass up the opportunity to carefully consider your negotiating position:
What can you learn about the market rates for this position?
Has the employer signaled whether your offer will be at the high end or the low end of the range?
What information has the hiring manager or recruiter shared about how much flexibility is available in adjusting the offer?
Negotiating an offer is not only about squeezing every dollar. There are many other negotiable aspects of a new role to consider like:
Your start date
Vacation / PTO
When you'll first be reviewed for promotion / raise
... and many more. We'll review these issues together and develop a strategy for discussing your job offer with your new employer, giving you the confidence and poise to negotiate your next role with clarity.
