Speciality in Type
I work with type designers and foundries to help them achieve their business goals. I’ve cultivated this speciality through my work at Adobe, Type Network, and more than a decade working in the Type industry.
I consult with type designers on all aspects of the business of type and fonts. These are a few of the clients who have hired me:
HGGC (Monotype)
No matter what stage of your career, I can help any type designer solve their business problems. I work with companies of all sizes to solve font problems of all kinds, including any type of licensing issue.
I’ve helped negotiate contracts with Adobe (where I led the team that created Adobe Fonts), Monotype, and others. I’ve help write countless EULAs, created enterprise pricing models, and generally helped run type businesses more smoothly and profitably.
Foundry Business Development
I love working with foundries on their sales and marketing operations. I know that many designers feel some stress and frustration with this aspect of their business. I’m here to help.
There are two easy ways we can work together:
I can partner with you as a coach or consultant. We can meet together regularly to review your needs, and I can help you make the important decisions that drive your business. You can hire me using subscription or prepaid coaching options.
You can delegate your sales opportunities to me, and pay me a commission based on the amount of the revenue I earn for your foundry. This is a great option, because I only get paid when you do, and with my experience I can often develop larger revenue opportunities than you might have discovered working on your own.
In either scenario, I bring to every client relationship the highest standards for ethics, honesty, and transparency. You can trust me to represent you thoughtfully and professionally with your clients.
I’m eager to discuss with you how I can help you make your business work better.
